Purpose:

This program provides learners with skills and knowledge required to perform event management processes and to coordinate event operations. This qualification provides a pathway to work in event management companies, event venues, or organisations that organise their own events. Work could be undertaken in an office environment where the planning of events takes place on-site at venues, where events are staged, or a combination of both.

Assessment:

The assessment is conducted using a combination of workplace tasks, projects, knowledge tests, response to case studies and feedback from supervisors. Some units have a mandatory practical assessment that will be carried out whilst on work placement.
