Events management is a fast-growing and dynamic sector. Experience can be just as important as your qualification for getting a job in this area. Event managers are responsible for the design, organisation and coordination of large-scale events such as conferences, festivals, corporate meetings, trade shows, exhibitions, and product launches.
The travel and tourism sector comprises many different industries and sub-industries, including services such as retail travel, currency exchange, tour operators and tour wholesalers. It also covers passenger transport including coach, aviation, rail and cruising and visitor attractions such as museums, theme parks, zoos and heritage sites.
The foundation of the hospitality industry is built on customer service, which comprises food and beverage services and accommodation services. Hospitality is the fastest growing, global industry, and it adds one new job every 2.5 seconds*. The industry offers solid career paths and opportunities for success through specialised positions such as cook or chef, housekeeping or front desk operation.
