Whether you're searching for your first barista job, or you're an existing cafe employee looking to improve your skills and gain a nationally recognised statement of attainment - this is the course for you!
Offered at the Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living, this course teaches you the skills required to be a great barista with a twist. As well as learning all about making great coffee, you will learn how to do it in an environmentally friendly way, so that we can all enjoy coffee for many years to come!
7 hours (1 full day)
You must be 14 years old or more to participate in this course. On completion of this course you will be awarded a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment. This qualification provides a pathway to work in cafes and coffee shops, or to further study in the Certificate III of Tourism or Hospitality.
No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
You will be assessed by trainers with the relevant qualifications in accordance with the Australian Qualifications Skills Authority (ASQA). This assessment will take the form of direct observation of practical tasks and written questioning which will take place throughout the day.
This course is delivered face-to-face at the Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living. Class sizes are kept small to give you the maximum time possible practicing to make great coffee. Please note that if minimum enrolment numbers are not met your scheduled course may be cancelled. If this occurs you will be offered a full refund or the option to move your enrolment to the next available course.
