Purpose

Events are diverse in nature and this qualification provides a pathway to work in event operations in a range of industries including the tourism and travel, hospitality, sport, cultural and community sectors. These may be event management companies, event venues, or organisations which organise their own events.

Duration

The program is designed to be completed within 18 months; however, the online component is self-paced and flexible.

Entry Requirements

This is an entry level qualification. You may enrol into this qualification with limited or no experience in the events industry, and without a lower level qualification.

Qualification Requirements

After achieving SIT30122 Certificate III in Tourism, learners could progress to Certificate IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualifications in Event Management, or fields such as business, creative industries, hospitality, sport, tourism or travel.

Assessment Requirements

The assessment is conducted using a combination of realistic workplace tasks, projects, knowledge tests and response to case studies.
