Purpose

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to measure, support and find opportunities to improve the sustainability of work practices. The unit applies to individuals, working under supervision or guidance, who are required to follow workplace procedures and instructions. These individuals work in an environmentally sustainable manner within scope of competency, authority and own level of responsibility.

Duration

This is a one day workshop from 11am to 5pm.

Entry Requirements

* Sufficient language, literacy and numeracy skills to complete the course
* Basic computer skills
* Knowledge of common computing terms and word processing
* Proficiency sending/receiving e-mail including e-mail with attachment
* Familiarity with the Internet

Qualification Requirements

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

Assessment Requirements

We focus on the real-world skills and knowledge needed to successfully implement tasks in the workplace. You will be assessed for this unit of competency using a variety of tasks to assess your understanding and skills. You will be in a group or one on one with your assessor either answering questions or taking part in a role play. Other assessment methods include written activities, cases studies, and projects that could involve writing a report.

Delivery Mode

Face to face at the Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living in Mount Annan, NSW. Upon successful completion of this course you will be emailed your electronic certificate.

Materials or Equipment Required

Please bring a pen with you on the day. Your lunch is included so please advise any special dietary requirements prior to the course.

Notes

When enrolling into this course your contact information will be shared with the Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living (MCSL). Both MTTEC and MCSL may also record or photograph parts of the training workshop for promotional reasons. Please advise your trainer if you do not give permission for your image to be used.
