SIT30122 - Certificate III in Tourism

This course provides learners with the skills and knowledge required to perform tourism and travel operations and effectively communicate with, and provide service to customers.

On completion of this qualification, possible jobs include:

- attraction or theme park attendant
- booking agent
- cellar door salesperson and guide in a winery
- guide and salesperson in an Indigenous cultural centre
- inbound tour coordinator
- museum attendant
- operations consultant for a tour operator
- reservation sales agent for a tour operator
- sales consultant
- senior ride operator in an attraction or theme park
- visitor information officer

The program is designed to be completed within 18 months; however, the online component is self-paced and flexible.

This is an entry level qualification. You may enrol into this qualification with limited or no experience in the tourism industry, and without a lower level qualification.

The assessment is conducted using a combination of realistic workplace tasks, projects, online knowledge tests and response to case studies.
